Come into my Italian kitchen for my take on mussels made with hearty cannellini beans and ingredients sourced from Eastern Market and Union Market. We will start with some music on the record player and a fresh spinach salad to whet your palette before moving onto the main course of mussels in a pancetta infused broth that is good enough to drink! We'll round out the meal with a coffee granita topped with homemade whipped cream. I hope you will join me for this magnificent feast of my favorite ingredients!

Spinach Salad with Shaved Parmesan and Lemon Juice
First Course
A light spinach salad with shavings of salty parmesan cheese and a squeeze of bright lemon juice. The parmesan cheese will be sourced from one of my favorite local shops, Sona Creamery.
PEI Mussels with Pancetta, Cannellini Beans and Tomatoes
Second Course
Bowls of steaming Prince Edward Island mussels will be served in individual bowls as the main course. They will be bathed in a broth of sauvignon blanc, salty pancetta, tomatoes and creamy cannellini beans and garnished with a handful of fresh chopped Italian parsley. And, to soak up the garlicky broth, a bread basket to share with slices of a rustic French baguette from my favorite bakery, Le Pain Quotidien!
Coffee Granita with Fresh Whipped Cream
Third Course
A refreshing granita made with coffee from Peregrine Espresso and topped with a dollop of freshly whipped Trickling Springs Creamery heavy cream - a dessert as local as the chef!
