ShelterTech is hosting a pop-up dinner to bring together different members of the SF community, from tech workers to homeless community members, to sit at the same table and share a meal. We believe that sharing a good meal and good conversation will enable attendees to create more connections, understand each other and break down some barriers and stereotypes. This will be an informal dinner, with no speaker, where the main goal is to have fun and talk to your dinner table’s neighbor! For any questions, please email [email protected]

About ShelterTech
ShelterTech is a non-profit that develops digital solutions for the homeless community of SF. We were founded by Darcel Jackson, who experienced homelessness after a back injury working on the new Bay Bridge. Today, we provide free WiFi to over 1200 people in homeless shelters and SROs and recently were awarded a grant for AskDarcel—to be the City of SF’s official information hub for all homeless and housing related services in SF. We’re an all-volunteer organisation and we use any donation and grant funding directly on the homeless community, including employing people in the homeless community to help us build and maintain our products. Part of our mission is building a bridge between the tech and homeless communities in San Francisco.
