
Lamb Köfte Sliders
Stella Star Ingredient: Tahini Drizzle
Ingredients
- For the burgers:
- 16 ounces ground lamb
- 1 small onion, coarsely grated
- 2 garlic cloves finely chopped or grated
- 2 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 small bunch cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chilli flakes
- Tahini Drizzle: *Stella Star Ingredient
- ½ cup tahini
- ¼ cup warm water
- Juice of ½ a lemon
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and grated on a microplane
- Pinch of salt
- To serve:
- Tahini sauce
- 4 small/mini pita bread
- 2 tomatoes, halved and sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced (optional)
- Sliced feta
- Fresh dill
Steps
- Place the lamb into a large bowl along with the onion, garlic, garam masala, cilantro and chilli flakes and a good pinch of salt. Mix well with your hands. Pat the mix into small burgers.
- To make the tahini sauce: combine the tahini, warm water, lemon, garlic, and salt in a bowl and whisk together until smooth.
- To cook, heat grill to its highest setting and lay the burgers in a single layer on a baking tray (you may need to do this in batches, depending on how big your tray is).
- Grill on the highest shelf for 5-6 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Pile burgers onto a platter and serve with all the accompaniments, so everyone can construct their own sandwich. Finish with the tahini drizzle.
