Every spring as far back as I can remember, my family and I would don our hats and sunscreen, and head out to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. I have strong memories associated with the event, many of which revolve around the food. For our dinners in May, we will be recreating some of my favorite staples from a few of Jazz Fest's world famous vendors. Come join us for a night of cultural celebration through music, food, and drink.

Menu detail

Étouffée Bread
Appetizer
Our signature Nola-style french bread stuffed with a creamy mushroom etouffée and melted mozzerella cheese
Charred Green Garlic Jambalaya
Small Plate
Green Garlic charred on an applewood fire with Trinity, andouille tofu, shredded yuba, and zesty tomato rice make this dish a beautiful example of modern cuisine meets traditional.
Poulet Fricassee, Jama-Jama, and Fried Plantains
Entree
This dish represents a side of Nola not often tasted by outsiders. I have enjoyed this particular combination on dozens of occasions over a span of decades. It is a tribute to Cameroonian restaurant Bennachin, located on Royal St. in the French Quarter. Chicken on a stick, sauteed spinach, and fried plantains, served with a spicy peanut sauce. Simple and perfect.
Mandarin Iced Tea
Beverage
A refreshing sweet tea with fresh hand squeezed mandarin orange juice.
White Chocolate Bread Pudding with Grilled Nectarines
Dessert
An indulgent rum bread pudding drenched in a white chocolate custard sauce, served with chargrilled nectarines.
