Founder Martin Hoellrigl holds a degree in tourism management, a chef apprenticeship, a sommelier and vintner diploma, and several hospitality certificates from Cornell University.

The list includes the Palace Hôtel Bristol Paris, which was awarded Best Hotel In The World and Best Hotel Restaurant In The World by Michelin guide. Here he cooked meals for Pope John Paul II and Tonino Lamborghini.

The Master Chef at the Surf and Sand Resort & Spa in Laguna Beach, California he was praised by Julia Child for his Provençal Bouillabaisse. The Los Angeles Times later wrote about his 'international flair and artistry.'
Under Martin’s helm, the majestic Baroque Palais Daun Kinsky in Vienna, Austria was awarded restaurant of the year, and Hoellrigl was awarded Chef of the year by Vienna Lifestyle Magazine. After the successful re-opening of the Salomon Rothschild castle hotel near Vienna, he was hired by the Austrian Tourism Funds as Pre-Opening Manager for the brand-new Balance Resort Stegersbach in Austria. Here his leadership was key in planning, opening, and managing this luxury start-up project. The resort achieved numerous awards such as restaurant of the year, a hotel of the year award, SPA awards, and an award for the most woman-friendly business in Austria!

His corporate Hilton hotel career included the luxurious Hilton Kuwait Resort, the Hilton Waterfalls Resort in the South Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, and Gallery One Hotel on the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale as the Hotel General Manager.

With his vintner education from earlier years Martin now helped the winemaker of Byington Vineyard and Winery win 68 awards including 2 double gold medals from San Francisco Chronicle, as the winery’s General Manager.

After the successful re-launch and sale of the 1931 built Hotel De Anza in Downtown San Jose to the Hyatt corporation, Martin started his own business in 2017 which later grew into Capitola Garden Feast LLC.
