In this installment of Around The World in 80 Pies, we travel to Portugal to explore the iconic Pasteis de Nata. This is a special experience as we will be joined by food historian Virgílio Gomes as well Portuguese pastry chef Daniel Seixas of CASTRO, a Portuguese brand of Pastéis de Nata. Mr. Gomes will share his insights on the history of the Pasteis de Nata as well as some pro tips on what to look for in the perfect Pasteis. Chef Seixas will give us a front row seat to the real world of making Portuguese pastry and there will also be a special demonstration video by the pastry chef to show you the process of making a Pasteis de Nata.
