A Mochi is Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice, and sometimes other ingredients such as water, sugar, and cornstarch. The rice is pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. In Japan it is traditionally made in a ceremony called mochitsuki. In this class, you will be learning how to make your own mochi from scratch using an easier method but yummy results. Topics covered in class is how to make, roll and add filling to mochi.
Class is structured as a one time class and students will meet for 1 hour and 30 minutes depending on how fast we all work. But no worries we will make sure no one falls behind. No prior kitchen experience necessary. Everyone is welcomed in my classes
More details will be available upon booking if needed.
** Ingredient list with recipes will be in email that will be sent out after booking including your zoom link to join class. This class will meet live and if you can't make it. I will give you access to recording after. Let me know if you can't attend so I can make a note**
