Growing up on the countryside of Virginia I would watch my Grandmother make Peasant bread and help my family tend to our vegetable garden. This type of upbringing led me to appreciate and value foods made by hand, with high quality ingredients. These values are what I bring into my meals; and you can taste it!

My buttermilk biscuits are the trademark of my company, SunnySide Biscuits, out of Oakland, but I also love cooking Southern-style BBQ. My smoked brisket is always a huge crowd-pleaser. However, I always take pride in my veggie dishes too.

I highly value the bounty of fresh produce and sustainably-raised meats that are available in the Bay area. Rest assured that you will be served high quality, delicious fare when you are my guest.
