Meaning “with your hands,” Kamayan is the traditional way Filipinos feast. Enjoying food by hand enhances our connection to the meal. Sharing around one table strengthens the bonds between us. The Kamayan Feast highlights my favorite Filipino dishes, presented in a way that has fostered kinship for generations.
My first culinary inspiration was my mother, Bhel. No matter what the occasion, her handmade dishes brought people together around show-stopping, irresistible food.
