The most amazing Caribbean food you've ever had in your life and an atmosphere of love and respect. I'm Chef Christopher and with the help of my mother Chef Sharon(all the way from Montego Bay, Jamaica) we are cooking up some of our island faves for you to enjoy. Press: Escape with us as we ring in the New Year from our Jungle themed pop up and bust into 2020 with good food, laughter and love. Reds House SF is a Jamaican Pop-Up Dinner Series, inspired by backyard gatherings, where "time doesn't exist as we laugh, share dishes and tell stories". I knew I had to create an experience for SF to Taste The Tropics.

The Braised Ox-tail
If you ask anyone who loves Jamaican food to pick his or her favorite. The Oxtail pushes its way to the top. A Traditional dish that everybody loves. The succulent Oxtail meat is marinated in a sauce that’s filled with loads of flavor and spices and will Melt in Your Mouth. There are many different ways of making this recipe throughout the Caribbean, but with Great Grandmother's recipe we have crafted a very special dish that will stay with you and leave you wanting more.

This is a staple in every Caribbean household. This recipe has many variations. The texture is crunchy and the flavor is bold. It goes great as a side with jerk chicken!
Coconut Milk Infused Rice & Peas
“The peas in this aren't really peas at all, but red beans. It is customary in the Caribbean to refer to beans as "peas". This recipe uses coconut milk, but the flavor is mild and not overpowering--just enough to give a hint of island flavor. *Served alongside Jerk Chicken*
Guinness Stout Punch
The Jamaican Guinness Stout Punch is very similar to Irish Moss. Like the Irish Moss the Guinness stout was introduced to Jamaica via the Irish. Also like the Irish Moss drink the Jamaican Guinness Stout Punch is a notorious drink among men (and some women) who seek “vigor”. It is believed “to put lead in your pencil “, “put it back” and boost energy that will lead to an increased libido.
