In the South, we love the juxtaposition of interesting flavors like sweet and savory or cold and hot. These elements add vibrant layers to our comforting meals. With this brunch, I'd like to share the updated recipes from my family, like pecan-crusted fried okra, dirty rice, pork chop with apples, and more.

Southern Bruschetta Trio

Grilled French served with Pepper-Jelly trio
*Peach, *Cucumber, *Berry Pepper Jelly
Pecan Crusted Fried Okra
Appetizer
Okra coated in a toasted Pecans and deep fried.
Served with "Mississippi Come Back" dipping sauce.
Orange, Red Onion and Fennel Salad
Small Plate
Julienne red onions and fennel marinated in citrus vinaigrette dressing.
Tossed with orange slices on a bed of spinach, topped with Dukkah and shaved Sheep's cheese.
Green Beans Bundles
Entree
Green beans wrapped in bacon, roasted in a buttery brown sugar- garlic sauce.
Dirty Red's Dirty Rice
Entree
Flavor Basmati rice cooked together with ground chicken liver and beef. Seasoned with out fiery house blend of spices.
Garnished with sliced chives.
Served with our family's Hot Pepper Jelly.
Pork Chops and Apples
Entree
Pork chops roasted confit with sliced apples and red onions.
Dijon, rosemary and thyme add an extra layer of flavor to this dish.
Served with a Rum Raisin sauce
Bananas Fosters
Dessert
Bananas caramelized in butter, brown sugar and fresh orange juice.
Flambeed in Grand Marnier and Rum.
Garnished with cinnamon.
And, served hot over ice cream.
Hibiscus Spiced Tea Cooler
Beverage
Hibiscus spiced tea with pineapple, orange and lemon mixed with sparkling water.
A throwback to the iced drinks served during Caribbean street carnivals.
