For tonight’s dinner I’m showcasing my favorite Indonesian dishes that I make at home. These recipes and flavors were passed down from my grandmother – with my personal flare. My hope is after this dinner you will have some insight into Indonesia's diverse culinary culture and become more familiar with flavors that represent my everyday cooking. We will share a few bottles of wine, but do also BYOW. Note: Dinner will be hosted at my house in Portola District, SF.

Indonesian Chicken Soup

Indonesian chicken soup featuring a clear herbal broth brightened by fresh turmeric and herbs.
Beef Rendang

Beef braised with Siska's homemade curry sauce and coconut milk, then after nearly all the liquid has evaporated, the remaining sauce is caramelized by frying it in the oil that the meat released during braising.
Kecap Squid and water spinach

Monterey fresh squid cooked in sweet soy sauce served with stir-fry water spinach.
Terong Pedas
