The best part is almost everything will be cooked on a sheet pan for easy clean up. First, we will learn how to make a perfectly cooked juicy steak rubbed in smoky chili seasoning. Along the way you will learn some fun hacks and techniques to make this perfect every time. Also, the perfect steak needs a fabulous potato side. Next, we will make crispy parmesan potatoes. They are crunchy on the outside and fluffy buttery on the inside. Finally, we will cheer with a bubbly Beer Aperol Spritz. Replacing the Prosecco with Beer makes this a nutty bubbly refreshing cocktail. I am super excited to cook with you and to cheers to an amazing meal.
Chili Rubbed New York Strip Steak
Ingredients: (double ingredients for 2 people) 1 (1 inch) NY Strip steak (salt the night before) 1 tablespoon chili seasoning or taco seasoning 1 teaspoon salt and pepper 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil This steak has a chili rubbed crust and a juicy buttery inside. Using a sheet pan and a really hot oven is the trick to this recipe. Get ready to learn fun hacks to make perfect steak every time.
Parmesan Crispy Potatoes
Ingredients: 2 pounds small Yukon gold potatoes 4 cups chicken broth (low sodium) 2 tablespoons salt 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt and pepper 1/2 cup grated Parmesan The perfect crunchy outside and buttery creamy inside hugged by cheesy parmesan cheese. Beer Aperol Spritz
4 beers (light beer) 4 ounces Aperol 1 cup orange juice 4 slices orange ice In true NYC style we are going to Broadway up a classic cocktail. Adding beer makes this nutty bubbly and so refreshing. No special equipment needed.
