My mother's career managing a Thai restaurant on the island of Oahu left an indelible mark on how I cook. Much of my time in the restaurant was spent picking herbs, soaking rice and trying not to burn my face from the heat of freshly toasted chiles. Easy Tiger is an ode to these memories with a few whimsical touches reflecting my childhood in Hawaii and my own professional journey cooking in Portland and across the country.
