It's the most special day on the Chinese/Vietnamese calendar: The Lunar New Year! Tết (Vietnamese New Year) is the most important celebration in Vietnamese culture. The word is shortened from a phrase meaning, "Feast of the First Morning of the First Day." Many Vietnamese prepare for this day by cooking special holiday foods, cleaning the house and visiting temples and the homes of their friends and family! It is good luck! Come have a taste of traditional Vietnamese / Chinese New Years dishes, pick a lucky money envelope from my New Years tree and let's welcome the New Lunar Year with friends and new acquaintances! Hor d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served before you are seated at the table for the meal. Enjoy a Calamansi/Lychee cocktail while you mingle with other guests or bring your own beer/wine. It is good luck to wear red on New Year's Day! Come and share some bites with us and cheers to a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!
