Dalia hails from a pineapple plantation in Southern India and spent her childhood on rice paddy fields surrounded by coconut trees and acres of banana trees. Coming from a farming family, her meals came from the earth and at a young age she became aware of how food nourished her body and provided strength for the day. Her food philosophy is simple; it should be healthy, delicious, and satisfy cravings. Dalia is a trained Chef from the Natural Gourmet Institute and has studied Plant Nutrition at Cornell University. She was the first Indian Wellness Chef to compete on Food Network's Chopped and become a finalist. Her kitchen experience comes from Jean Georges' Spice Market, Pure Food & Wine, The James Beard Foundation, and as Catering Chef for Linkedin HQ NYC feeding 400 people daily. She has partnered with brands such as Athleta, Gap, CitiGroup, US Veg Corp, and Atelier Cologne. She is available for virtual cooking classes and parties and also for recipe consultations on using what’s in your pantry.
