BIO

Born in Los Angeles, Cooking his way through some of L.A’s best kitchens, Chef David Lespron has come to the position of Chef de Cuisine of Katsuya Hollywood. Early on, Lespron quickly discovered his unique skill and passion for food. Hailing from South Texas, he won a number of culinary competitions throughout high school and across the state which landed him a scholarship at The Art Institute of Los Angeles where he began his culinary career. Following his education, he cooked through some of the best kitchens in LA before a promotion to Chef de Cuisine for the Dolce Group. Then joining sbe as Sous Chef of XIV by Michael Mina. His passion and remarkable reputation has allowed him to expand his role at sbe as he currently holds the position of Chef de Cuisine at Katsuya Hollywood.

At 16 years old won 4 Gold medals and 1 silver medal in culinary competitions at the high school level:

1st place VICA South Texas Regional High School mystery basket competition
2nd place VICA all state Texas mystery basket competition
