Rice is the most common staple food in the Philippines and I clearly remember it being served at almost every household meal growing up. One of the things I enjoyed most is using the rice to soak up all of the amazing and intricate flavors of the Filipino soups, stews, and other dishes that my mother would prepare. For this meal, we will be preparing my interpretation of a few of these childhood favorite dishes along with a couple different rice dishes. We will be collaborating with Roli Roti to use their line of bone broths in the savory dishes we prepare. About Roli Roti You may know Roli Roti from their popular fleet of food trucks that roam the Bay serving their rotisserie chickens and porchetta sandwiches. However, a few years ago, the Roli Roti team created Butcher’s Bone Broth—the leading fresh organic bone broth on the market. Butcher’s Bone Broth is just three ingredients: organic locally sourced bones, organic carrots, and filtered water. That’s it. No salt, no added preservatives or flavorings, and no added alliums. It’s super easy to cook with or just to enjoy on its own. Simmered for at least 24 hours to extract every bit of goodness from the bones, Butcher’s Bone Broth is always fresh, never frozen, to preserve the integrity of the all the nutrients, the texture, and taste. Butcher’s is the retail brand of Roli Roti. Roli Roti was founded by Thomas Odermatt, the son of a third-generation master butcher from Switzerland. .
