A 6-course tasting menu of dishes inspired by the NOLI ME TANGERE, the subversive political novel by Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippines' national hero. This meal will be a special collaboration with Chef Yana Gilbuena (Salo). Chef Yana’s creation, the SALO* series, is not only a meaningful recognition of the finest points of Filipino food and culture, but deeper than this, it also highlights the best thing about Philippine dining, which is bringing people together on the table for a hearty good time. (http://www.saloseries.com) This menu is paired with excerpts from the novel. The dinner will feature a mini zine with art from Kristian Kabuay (www.baybayinart.com)
