Farming Hope is the soup kitchen turned on its head - we are a culinary training program that hires transitional homeless folks to garden and cook with the food we grow.
Chef Kevin, Farming Hope co-founder, has staged at Bay Area restaurants including Californios and Chez Panisse. He is influenced by his abuela's cooking and local ingredients. Learn more at farminghope.org

Shaved asparagus and white peach salad with chayote dressing and crispy carrots
Sopa de Elote

Elote (Mexican Street Corn) in a bowl! Fresh corn is simmered with onion, garlic, and coconut milk. We blend it to a smooth consistency, and garnish with chili powder, lime zest, cilantro, and olive oil.
Calabacin a la Arrachera
Entree
Inspired by the flavors of traditional Mexican Arrachera seasoning, we grill zucchini planks with a seasoning blend of Guajillo, Ancho, and New Mexico chiles. This is served with frijoles de la holla (stewed, homestyle beans), cashew crema, salsa verde, and a fava leaf slaw.

Dessert
A sweet finish that highlights the fruit of the moment. Fresh strawberries and rhubarb from the garden are paired with Mexican cinnamon spiked whipped cream
Horchata de Fresa
Beverage
Our horchata is made entirely from scratch by blending rice, vanilla, Mexican cinnamon, organic cane sugar, and coconut-almond milk together, with the seasonal addition of strawberries. The flavors steep together for hours before being strained right before we serve it to you.
