Hanif's Iranian cuisine is a highlight of the Bay Area. You may have seen him showcasing his video documentaries about Iran but have you tried his authentic recipes? He's serving: (1) Zeitun Parvardeh (green olives marinated with pomegranate Molasses, walnuts, herbs, garlic and Persian hogweed spice). (2) Anaarbij va Katte (meatballs, walnut and herbs stew served with Northern Iranian style white rice and pickled garlic).
An Indonesian culinary genius, Siska creates some of the best sauces you've ever had. They're coming to a supermarket near you but you can try them with her original dishes of: (1) Rendang: Medan-style Beef Rendang. Top sirloin braised with Siska's homemade curry sauce and coconut milk, then after nearly all the liquid has evaporated, the remaining sauce is caramelized by frying it in the oil that the meat released during braising. (2) Indonesian Fried Rice: You will absolutely love fried rice flavoured with aromatic spices - turmeric, coriander, spicy chillies and fried shallots - it's a lively combination.
A chef trained in the art of French cooking, Tommo re-creates some of the most delicate pierogis we've ever had. (1) Handmade Pierogi: Classic Polish dumplings, pan fried and toped with a sour cream sauce. One of the most popular item on all of my menus. (2) Smoked salmon tartare: cured cold smoked salmon with dill pickles and a delicious horseradish cream.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Eric spent a good amount of his childhood in Hawaii with his Filipino family. His dishes showcase the bright flavors of his culture, travels, and upbringing. (1) Shrimp Lumpia: A fried spring roll stuffed with a seasoned and butterflied shrimp and a creamy herb-infused cheese spread. Served with a sweet chili dipping sauce. (1) Raspberry Bibingka: A lightly sweet, moist cake made with rice flour, raspberries, honey, and coconut milk.
Hailing from Valencia, Spain, Nino will share some of the traditional treasures from his home region. (1) Bacon and Dates (2) Calamari Figatells: mediterranean calamari sliders
Inspired by a lifetime passion for good food, Aimee loves to serve local, seasonal produce. (1) Stuffed pasta with wild mushrooms in parmesan broth (2) Shaved brussels sprout and tuscan kale salad with toasted almonds, lemon and peccorino
