Growing Gardeners and Gourmets

Carmen has a passion for food, sustainability and kids. She trained at Alice Waters' Edible Schoolyard and the Nutritional Therapy Association. She developed curriculum, recipes and gardens for a local elementary school and a business focusing on educating kids about food. Her encouragement, along with group involvement, often assists kids in their exploration of flavors. Carmen is able to deliver knowledge about healthy foods in fun ways. Her nutritional education gives her a solid framework from which to approach healthy eating with kids.
