The Gift of Giving: A Cooking Lesson In Traditional Persian Cuisine and The Art of Honoring.
You'll be greeted by a glass of bubbly and chef Hanif Sadr, of Komaaj and Chef Jesse Bloom of Sacred Kitchen for an experience of authentic Persian Cuisine and joyful connection.
Join chef's from across the world as Chef Hanif lead us in a cooking class making appetizers and learning the finer points of making classic dishes from his Northern Iranian Cuisine.
Chef Jesse will guide us though a lesson in the finer points of connecting. Then we'll get ready to great the event guests by plating the food you just made.
If you understand what is meant by "the best seat in the house is service," then we know you'll love this delicious opportunity to connect and make great food.
The Gift of Giving experience will be followed by a traditional Persian Feast and an fundraising dinner for Oakland International High School Students.

Behind every great meal you eat and every bit of food you buy, there are the work of many hands. Many of those hands belong to immigrants yet their work is mostly invisible.
These are Kitchen Heroes. They may be kitchen professionals and they may simply be the people we eat dinner with. They are our parents, our partners, or our friends. In light of our national climate, it’s time we come together to celebrate immigrants and our shared immigrant roots.
