Join Italian Chef Deborah Dal Fovo for "Italian Carnival Desserts", an online cooking class from her kitchen to yours! Carnevale (Carnival) in Italy is the annual Mardi Gras celebration celebrated from Venice to Sicily. During this festive period, masked costumes are worn and special dishes are enjoyed—particularly decadent, indulgent sweets—to revel in delicious fun before the restrictive Lent fasting season begins. During this livestream cooking class, Chef Deborah will teach you to make two of the most popular and delectable Carnival sweets: ~ Chiacchiere - feather-light pastry ribbons dusted with confectioners sugar (also called Angel Wings) are the most iconic Carnival sweet prepared throughout Italy with different names in each region ~ Tortelli - fried dough puffs sprinkled with sugar and often filled with cream You’ll receive an ingredient list to cook along with Chef Deborah or just watch and make the desserts later using her recipes.
