This is a cook along with us or just watch event. At The Chef's Hat we have been performing culinary entertainment since 2014. This is the first of our virtual series centered around my new book "A Year of Brunches". For this event, the star of the show is not an egg although there still is an egg involved. Instead, the main dish here is shrimp and bacon disguised as a Bloody Mary. Then instead of the ubiquitous avocado toast it dawned on me to jump from the avocado to Bloody Mary toppings. Then we will put a poached or fried egg on top and call it a meal!

Bloody Mary Shrimp and Bacon
Entree
This dish tastes exactly like a Bloody Mary but it is not a cocktail. It is actually an entree for brunch and it even includes a bit of vodka. It includes shrimp, bacon, horseradish, cherry tomatoes, green onion and more for a taste even better than you might imagine.
Bloody Mary Toast
Small Plate
This is a take off of the ubiquitous avocado toast. Instead of avocado, we combine the usual garnishes served in a Bloody Mary into a spreadable mix and top with a fried or poached egg. Garnishes include pickle spears, asparagus, pickled jalepenos, and Peppadew peppers.
