Jenner Cormier is a beverage professional with 10 years experience in the hospitality industry, training or working in bars in Halifax, Toronto, Europe and the United States. Jenner has acquired skills from bartenders from all corners of the globe by competing in National as well as International (named Canada’s best bartender by winning Diageo World Class Canada 2013, as well as winning Canada’s BOL’s Around The World competition in 2013) bartending competitions. In the summer of 2014, he was chosen and given a scholarship to attend the most extensive BAR training in North America (the only Canadian) that took place in New York City; graduating in the top 1/3 of the class. Jenner has been fortunate to visit dozens of distilleries across the globe from Scotland to Oaxaca. Taking a year off from behind the bar to work for the largest beverage alcohol company in the world with Diageo in 2013 taught him about the brand representation side of the business. Jenner has been involved behind the scenes at the world’s largest cocktail convention at Tales of The Cocktail as an apprentice manager on 5 different occasions in 2 different continents over 4 years has left him with a knowledge base for all things hospitality that very few will ever have the luxury of experiencing. Jenner takes a lot of pride in where he comes from and decided to take the knowledge he has acquired over the past decade to bring something new and exciting back to his hometown, Halifax. The experience of being on opening staff for a handful of the country’s best cocktail bars has helped him to acquire knowledge surrounding implementation of systems early in beverage program development. Acquiring skills in management and hospitality through years in restaurants, and work with Tales Of The Cocktail has allowed Jenner to grow into a beverage professional who values great hospitality as well as memorable experiences.
