Jennifer Kim is the Chef and Owner of Passerotto in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. Passerotto is the second restaurant and first solo venture for Kim who most recently was the co-owner of Snaggletooth in Lakeview. Prior to opening Snaggletooth, Kim held chef positions at the Michelin starred Bistrot des Saveurs in the South of France as well as with the prestigious One Off Hospitality Group at their Chicago restaurants; Nico Osteria, Avec and Blackbird.

A 2012 graduate of Chicago’s Kendall College, Kim has been the recipient of multiple culinary accolades and was awarded the 2017 Jean Banchet Rising Star Chef award while at Snaggletooth and was the winner of the 2012 San Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef competition.

The only daughter of South Korean immigrants, with a professional cooking pedigree that skews towards Central Italian influences, Kim’s cuisine at Passerotto is anything but ordinary. She is excited to share the traditional Korean dishes that shaped her childhood, infused with the Italian influences that inspire her, with Chicago.
