Jeremiah Bullfrog(74)
Miami, FL
BIO
Chef Jeremiah Bullfrog has possibly one of the most awe-inspiring CVs in the restaurant biz, having done time in the kitchens of some of New York’s most exalted culinary temples (wd-50, Aquavit), as well as what are generally considered the two best restaurants in the world: Spain’s now deceased El Bulli, and Copenhagen’s Noma.
But he shot to fame in 2009 when he opened gastroPod Miami, his hometown’s first genuine gourmet food truck – which was actually a vintage Airstream trailer. And perhaps that was more where he belonged anyway, as the bearded, expletive-spitting but lovable renegade hardly seems a poster child for prim, Michelin starred dining.
So we’re not surprised to find him launching an anything-and-everything-goes, mad fun new food show with Complex Networks, which is now streaming on HULU. Jeremiah Bullfrog Forks It! will be as much a travelogue, and will follow him around the US, with episodes filmed in, amongst others, Milwaukee, Chicago, Atlanta, and, of course, back home in Miami. It might just make Anthony Bourdain look like a nun.
