This week I'll highlight seasonal farm produce from Swank Farms, located in West Palm Beach. No matter where you live or what farm you buy from, knowing how to approach a "market basket" of mixed produce is a skill that will enhance your culinary adventures.
Farm-to-Table "Market Basket" Bowl
Following the format of traditional della bowls, this bowl will have a base, a plant-based protein, several veggies, a globally-inspired sauce, and a topping, or "boost." I picked up my bag of veggies @ Swank, and BOY! Are they beautiful! We'll make celery root-turnip puree, grilled radishes & pole beans, my famous green sauce, and a kohlrabi-tomato salsa. This is true, seasonally-inspired, farm-to-table cooking. Get your produce from Swank (in Florida) or another farm or market will do!
