Seekh kabab, paratha and raita
3 SPOTS LEFT
Pakistan is known for a variety of meat dishes, seekh kababs being one of the most popular. Seekh kebab, which means kebab on a skewer, are traditionally made on an outdoor grill over coals that adds color and flavor to the kebabs. But, they are equally delicious baked in the oven or pan-fried. With a side of spicy ( or mild) yogurt raita and traditional paratha ( unleavened fried flatbread), this is a meal you will cook often.
Ground meat ( chicken, lamb, or beef) marinated in aromatic spices baked in the oven or pan-fried. Seekh kebab, which means kebab on a skewer, are traditionally made on an outdoor grill over coals that adds color and flavor to the kebabs.
One of the most popular unleavened Layered flatbread, with a dough made with wholewheat or all-purpose flour, ghee (clarified butter), and water, fried in ghee. The layering of the paratha is still one of my most favorite part!
Raita ( Yogurt salad or dip)
Raita is a traditional yogurt salad or dip put together with spices, chopped onions, cilantro, cucumber, and tomatoes which completes a Pakistani meal. It also provides a cooling effect to the spicy food.
