Cook for a Cause - Ricotta Gnocchi with Homemade Tomato Sauce + Green Olive Tapenade (100% of proceeds go to California Innocence Project!)
I'm so excited to be teaming up with California Innocence Project (CIP) to bring you an opportunity to cook delicious food for a great cause! CIP is an organization dedicated to freeing the innocent and changing the criminal justice system for the better. 100% of your ticket price will be donated to CIP to benefit their work exonerating the wrongfully convicted. We'll start by hearing from CIP Staff Attorney Katherine Bonaguidi as she shares information about CIP's mission and work. Then we'll get cooking together! It'll be an interactive class with the opportunity to chat and ask questions with us and the other participants. Look forward to Cooking for a Cause with you!
Ricotta Gnocchi with Homemade Tomato Sauce + Green Olive Tapenade
This dish might sound fancy or intensive, but these scrumptious little cheese dumplings come together quickly with a few basic ingredients! The tomato sauce we'll be making is a classic recipe to have in your back pocket, and it's also a great base to build on, depending on what you like (eg. adding pancetta, calabrian chiles, etc.) And then to top it all off, we'll make a green olive tapenade. Perhaps you haven't seen this combo before, but trust me, a spoonful of this zippy tapenade on top of the gnocchi is bright and flavorful and takes the dish to another level!
