We're going back to California with a delicious fresh menu that also happens to adhere to the Protective Diet as well! Robinlee Garber is a folk/jazz singer and instrumentalist who introduced me to the diet the other week, and the style of cooking was very well received! We'll cook California fresh without excess oils or fats, with no added sugar, using whole vegetables, grains, fruits, and herbs! Robinlee Garber will be providing the tunes, and we'll provide the food. We look forward to this fun night, and it's always an honor to feed you!

Cauliflower Gratin in Clay Pot
Small Plate
We'll roast cauliflower in berber spice, as well as make it into a nice puree, and combine them together to make a delicious gratin topped with Mandarin orange, fresh herbs, and served with a delicious (and gluten free) buckwheat and oat bread
Crudite Plate with Green Goddess and Sundried Tomato Spread
Small Plate
We'll have cauliflower, endive spears, delicata squash cups, and roasted red onion petals to serve with both a sundried tomato, and Green Goddess dipping sauce
Grilled Pear, Persimmon, Nordic Greens, and Sumac Chop Salad

We'll make a hearty and complex salad using fresh and grilled fruits, Moroccan seasonings, crisp greens, and a creamy chickpea-pomegranate vinegar dressing.
Roasted Japanese Sweet Potato, Black Sesame Sauce, Shishito Pepper

We'll roast Japanese sweet potatoes, and serve them with a black sesame sauce, seared shishito peppers, fresh chrysanthemum greens, and freshly grated horseradish
Pasta a la Puttanesca
Entree
We'll cook up some delicious lentil penne to pair with broccolini and our rich puttanesca sauce of tomato, sliced black olive, capers, and fire-roasted red peppers. Topped with miso-baked bread crumbs
Tunisian Orange Cake
Dessert
We'll make our delicious Tunisian orange cake using erythritol in place of sugar, and soaked in a roasted citrus and spice syrup
