'Summer of Love' Aphrodisiac Dinner

We did a nice aphrodisiac dinner on Valentines Day, but why not in the summer when everyone is already sweaty and wearing less clothes? Plus, we have different produce available now... you can't tell me that peaches bursting with nectar aren't sensual. For this dinner, we're going to 6 different courses reflecting the bounty of fruits and vegetables that have 'aphrodisiac' qualities. We sincerely hope to see you then!

Trio of Crostini
We'll make 3 wonderful crostini to serve you: 1) Smoked Beet Pate with Pepitas 2) Saag Paneer-inspired Spinach Dip 3) Roasted Pepper and Olive Tapenade
Caprese Skewers
Small Plate
We'll turn the caprese salad into skewers using cherry tomatoes, cashew mozzarella, and fresh basil. Drizzled with bright green arbequina olive oil, balsamic reduction, and Maldon salt.
Melon and Cucumber Gazpacho
Small Plate
Ripe summer melon and Persian cucumber gazpacho with cashew cream, arbequina olive oil, and togarashi pepper.
Grilled Peach & Fennel Salad
Small Plate
With chicories, champagne vinaigrette, and toasted walnuts.
Hot Tamales!
Chile-braised yuba and meltable cheese filled tamales, housemade mole, avocado, and whipped cashew sour cream.
Almond Ricotta stuffed Medjool Dates wrapped in Eggplant Bacon
We'll serve these stuffed dates with pomegranate molasses and chile oil.
