Let's make sushi! Join chef, food tv personality & sake lover Lala Ziemski collaborating with chef Nicholas Tran (Gramercy Tavern, Kappo Masa, Quince) for a two hour experience that will be as delicious as it is educational & fun. First, The two hour session begins with a sake tasting. Try 3 different sakes, learn about the brewing process and the different designations of sake. Next, a history lesson on sushi traditions and a discussion on what to look for when buying the freshest fish for your sushi. Second, we roll up our sleeves to make sushi! This hands on experience will teach you how to professionally make maki (rolls), temaki (hand rolls), nigiri AND proper sashimi cutting technique. You will make it all yourself under our guidance. Don’t worry, you will be eating (& drinking) as you learn! Class replaces dinner. With years of experience in sushi, Lala & Nicholas will guide you through all you need to know to impress your friends with your new skills.
