The legacy of the cuisine of Istanbul, the capital of four empires, is greater than meets the eye. It's Istanbul Modern. We tell the story. In this series, we will showcase Eastern Mediterranean home cooking with mezes and main dishes that grandma would make. We want to offer a home-cooked meal, no frills, just good flavor for a fun, comforting yet adventurous weeknight. Vegetarian option available, please let us know in advance. Yaya means grandmother, in Greek and Armenian.

Lamb belly or lamb leg is one of our favorites. But we would not like to limit ourselves to serve you fantastic proteins at its best. We also complement our dishes with aged basmati pilaf or bulgur to carry the juices and flavors.

In the spirit of changing the menu as often as we can, we want to keep this dessert flexible. We have served penna cottas, argan oil chocolate cakes with tahini ice cream, baklavas served like millefeuilles with pastry cream, rice pudding with burnt honey crumble.
