Grew up in the jungle of Peru — Tarapoto, San Martin Region, Leonardo moved to Lima at the age of 16. During that time, he learned to cook to maintain himself and survive in the new city. Soon, he joined the army and served in the residence of Government Palace, where he made friends with the chefs. As he was learning to cook, he realized that cooking is an art. He does it with heart; and loves sharing it and making people feel happy. He is also the Founder and CEO of Charapa Project
