We bring together three rockstar females of the Japanese sake world with three talented local female chefs! Miho Imada (Fukucho), Miho Fujita (Yuho), and Yuri Honda (Chiyonosono) are kicking off their U.S. tour with a stop in San Francisco. We will celebrate their unique sakes with a dynamic three-course paired menu prepared by chefs Ali Hooke (Octavia), Courtney Blake (Private Dining Room), and Anna Lee (former Nopa pastry chef), utilizing the best ingredients of the season. Pairings included!

Alaskan Halibut Crudo with miso-fermented garlic, seared snap peas, persimmon vinegar, and sesame-nori cracker Sake: Chiyosono "Shared Promise" Junmai Chiyosono "Sacred Power" Junmai Ginjo A Tennessee transplant, Ali Hooke first learned how to produce creative, fresh food from her resourceful Southern mother. It was at the Nashville farmers market that she fell in love with food. She now brings her passion into her work in the kitchen at Octavia.

Along with her wife, she hosts a supper club called Private Dining Room SF, where the cultural conversation focuses on matters of social justice and sustainability in our foodways.

Black sesame mochi cake with cultured coconut cream, strawberries and preserved kumquats Sake: Fukucho "Forgotten Fortune" Junmai Fukucho "Moon on the Water" Junmai Ginjo Anna Lee hails from Korea and NYC, where she obtained a culinary degree from the Insitute of Culinary Education. Having spent three years as Nopa's pastry chef, Anna Lee is now a chef about town, catering private events and always finding the right balance between comfort and adventure in her cooking.
