Born in The Netherlands and having grown up on several continents, my ensuing wanderlust to travel the world gave me an intimate understanding of language through cuisines. Macro-biotic cooking had found me earlier, but it wasn't until my studies in the Fine Arts moved me to pursue the art of living rather than a pretty picture to be framed, that my values as a vegetarian and believer in the Holistic arts,
brought me to study the natural culinary arts as well as Ayurveda. I have worked as a chef in many capacities, as a private chef at yoga retreats, the film industry, special events, and am also a chocolatier and tea master. I draw deeply from the poetics of life, and live to honor and celebrate these essences through my cooking.
