BIO
I grew up in a farm in Puglia, Southern Italy and started cooking when I was 7 years old just by following whoever was working in the kitchen. In a southern Italy regular home the kitchen is occupied and alive for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week!
I studied as a lawyer in Italy but quickly realized that my passion was to cook and to host and of course eating great food. So I decided to study Hotel & Business Management in Lausanne, Switzerland.
After graduating I worked in some of the best Hotels in the world, from Italy to Switzerland, from Morocco to Barbados, from Washington DC to South Carolina, ultimately becoming an Executive and Hotel General Manager.
Since last year I took a break from hospitality operation as I am currently completing an MBA in San Francisco. I just miss cooking for people so much that I decided to join this great website following recommendations of many friends and family.
Yes, cooking is my greatest passion, food and wine are my favorite things to talk about. Meeting new people and making everybody happy with my cooking may seem at times like a mission to others, but for me it’s just something I really love to do.
I'm mostly specialized in country style Southern Italian Food, but as I managed various starred Michelin restaurants with some of the best Chefs I was exposed to so much more on a daly basis.
But the core stays true, and I am loyal to my heritage. Regional recipes from Puglia, Amalfi Coast and Sicily are my absolute favorites.
I really believe that simple ingredients handpicked in the right place will allow you to create the most amazing dishes
Some of my favorite ingredients: tomatoes, basil, eggplants, zucchini, homemade pasta, peas and fava beans.
The decor:
I live in the heart of the North Beach / Coit Tower neighborhood with great views of the city.
Dining at my place is like enjoying a meal in the heart of a Southern Italian family, happy, lively and generous with a touch of luxury inherited and inspired from worldclass hotels and restaurants, in beautiful dinnerware.
