BIO

CHef Mathew Kirkley has worked in restaurants around the world. He gained recognition at L2O in 2008 when he earned the restaurant two Michelin stars for three consecutive years. Following his departure, he moved west to take the helm of COI in San Francisco, where he prepared seafood with the care and respect forged on those childhood docks. He earned COI its third Michelin Star. He left the restaurant in 2017 and began exclusively training for the prestigious international culinary competition, Bocuse d’Or, which is held every other year in Lyon, France. He will be representing Team USA as he prepares for the 2019 competition.
