Nigel Henderson is a Los Angeles native with roots in New Orleans and is also a Morehouse College Alumni. After departing a successful career in the entertainment industry, Nigel attended Le Cordon Bleu and upon graduating he embarked on his culinary journey that spanned from Los Angeles to New Orleans. In New Orleans, he had the privilege of learning under the tutelage of iconic Chef Leah Chase and opened a food truck known as The Nola Truck. In Los Angeles, Nigel worked at the Infamous Peninsula Beverly Hills, for The Kitchen for Exploring Foods, and as the Executive Chef for WME/IMG’s Corporate Restaurant, Jack & Ben’s. Nigel currently curates culinary events through his company The Feast LA, teaches culinary classes at The Gourmandise School, produces & hosts The Gumbo Pot Podcast, and services several private clients.
