Our meals are centered around taking a simple, humble ingredient and seeing the beautiful and varied approaches different cuisines take with it. We take our diners on a journey where humble ingredients are transformed, showing how exotic flavors can become comforting and delicious. First up - we'll be tracing the path of the sesame seed and its various forms from North Africa through the Middle East ending in China.

Menu detail

Homemade bread with three spreads
Homemade bread is served with three Middle Eastern spreads. Hummus, Babaghanoush and date butter with tahini. Each one of these dishes highlights tahini (sesame paste) in a different way. Everything is made from scratch using organic ingredients. We use the finest quality sesame which comes from Ethiopia.
Moroccan Carrots
Small Plate
Carrots are braised in a sweet and sour pepper mixture then charred for a crusty caramelized exterior. Then tossed with spicy onion jam, toasted walnuts, cilantro and black and white sesame seeds.
White Bass Salad
Small Plate
Fresh wild white bass is cured in lime juice and folded into a classic Israeli salad of heirloom tomato, cucumber and shallot. Dressed lightly with green tahini and topped with crunchy garlic chips. This cold salad is served over a small bed of warm sushi rice for contrast.
Cold Sesame Noodles
Egg noodles are tossed with a sesame dressing made with ginger, soy, peanut, garlic and vinegar. Served with poached chicken, scallions, turnip greens and toasted white sesame seeds.
Sweet and Salty
Homemade ricotta is coated in organic Greek honey and black and white sesame seeds. Served with fresh seasonal fruit. A light sweet bite to end the meal.
