Ox & Tiger is a Filipino and Japanese inspired pop up curated by Chef EJ Macayan (Rich Table, Izakaya Yuzuki, Fat Rice) and Hitomi Wada. They aim to bring two distinctly different perspectives into one path by taking their upbringings and creating new stories to share with all. Every event they strive to introduce the masses to the heavily influenced flavors of the Philippines and the delicacies of Japan.

It was all a dream until they took the leap of faith. Created as an idea for friends while living in Chicago, EJ and Hitomi grasped onto their passion and turned it into a reality.

EJ and Hitomi have always had an affinity for art and creating things together was always a vessel for their relationship to grow into something more. With cooking, they used it as medium to intertwine their heritage and cultivate flavors that represent their profound experiences.

They have always believed food brings great company together. Whether it be family or new friends, EJ and Hitomi let the food ignite memories to share amongst others. The team at Ox & Tiger carefully provide an experience that will leave you full and excited for more.
