Paley’s Place Bistro & Bar has been an Oregon institution since its February 1995 opening. Owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Vitaly and Kimberly Paley, the critically-acclaimed restaurant is located within Portland’s leafy Northwest district and prides itself on elegant fare that clearly showcases local, sustainably-produced food.
Chef Paley was the recipient of the 2005 James Beard Foundation Best Chef Pacific Northwest Award, he was nominated as a 2012 James Beard Foundation Semi-Finalist for Outstanding Chef, was a victor on the Food Network’s popular series Iron Chef America, and was declared Chef of the Year in Portland Monthly’s 2012 Restaurant Issue. In addition, Paley’s Place has been featured in several national food magazines, including Saveur, Food & Wine, and Bon Appetit, and is frequently named one of the city’s top restaurants in local publications, The Oregonian and Willamette Week.
