Phat Birds started as a pop up on Sundays at the eponymous TiGeorges’ Haitian Cuisine in 2013. We did a culinary tour of Fried Chicken, exploring how we fry that glorious bird all over the United States and the World.
We are now poised to celebrate our 2 year anniversary in East Los Angeles June 2019 and will continue the culinary world tour of fried chicken during special events on our lovely patio or offsite collabing with our community partners. We use free range chickens that are free of hormones and anti-biotics-- and whenever possible, we use organic ingredients. We cure and smoke our own bacon in-house, do all pickling in-house and started the fermentation process to make our very own signature hot sauce. We hope you will come out and join us on the wonderful tour and enjoy some delicious fried chicken, amazing cocktails and great company. Our shop is steps away from the Metro Gold Line’s East LA Civic Center station.
