Some of my favorite recipes i learned from my Aunt Rose's kitchen, as a child. Well, i veganized them, of course. My Jewish family came to the US, just before world war 2 and this is a cuisine i grew up with, having these dishes at Rosh Hashanah and other holidays. Come enjoy this hands on class and learn a few delicacies from many Jewish grandmother's kitchens!
And perhaps serve them later this month at Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur feasts!
A hands on class so you will be preparing these dishes with the other attendees. Then we sit down and enjoy a meal of our creations.
Menu detail

Roasted beet salad
Small Plate
Roasted beets with some greens for a simple, wonderful fall salad.
Golumpke
Entree
Golumpke are cabbage leaves, stuffed with beanballs (vegan version) and stewed in a tomato sauce. One of my childhood favorites and still something i absolutely love!
ruggelach
Dessert
My family is known for ruggelach. My Aunt Rose made the greatest rugglech anyone ever had. Then my sister, Barbie, learned from her and made them even better, simply by stuffing them with more filling. Now i have developed a vegan version, dedicated to the memories of my dear sister and wonderful Aunt, that is also, quite exceptional.
Ruggelach are a pastry filled with nuts and jam, rolled up and baked.
