My old friend, tabla player, Sameer Gupta, returns to the bay area and to the series. The founding memmber of the Brooklyn Raga Massive is out here on tour with a large contingency of the BRM (see other dates on my series for other members also appearing on this series!) and this time returns to play at Sound & Savor with his childhood friend and long time duet partner, slide guitarist, Ross Hammond. A very unique blending of raga, blues and jazz from 2 fine improvisers! Masumoto Farm peaches all over the menu....

More delights from Trinidad's amazing African-Indian fusion culinary traditions; Baiganee are eggplant fritters (chickpea flour so gluten free), fried till crisp and we will serve them with a peach chutney and my own invention of peach kuchela, a Trinidad condiment usually made with unripe mango that is blended with spices and mustard oil and i make it with unripe peaches.
