We're taking your home bar skills up a notch! This is a deep dive into the rich history, ingredients and essentials around the Boulevardier, Penicillin, and Vieux Carre. Cocktail & spirits expert Prairie Rose will share the rich history and cocktail folklore behind each of these underrated classics. She'll break down the recipes, discuss the ingredients, and go over essential bar tools and glassware that you'll need for all three of these cocktails. You'll get some tips on technique, and learn some tricks for a flawless execution. Throughout the live class, you'll get a chance to interact, ask questions, and discuss how to put your own unique twist on these classics. Ingredients: Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, Campari Garnish: Orange Peel Ice Tools: Mixing Glass, Mixing Spoon, Strainer Glassware: Rocks Glass
Ingredients: Blended Scotch, Lemon Juice, Honey-Ginger Syrup*, Islay Single Malt Scotch Garnish: Candied Ginger Ice Tools: Shaker, Strainer Glassware: Rocks Glass *Combine 1 cup of honey with one 6-inch peeled and sliced piece of ginger root with 1 cup of water in a small pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Refrigerate overnight, then strain, discarding the solids.
