This is a deep dive into this storied spirit made from the blue agave plant, the history behind Mexico's original classic tequila sour, and the cocktails inspired from it. Cocktail & spirits expert Prairie Rose will share the rich history of tequila, and dig into the origin of the margarita. She'll break down the classic margarita recipe, discuss the ingredients, and go over essential bar tools and glassware that you'll need for all three variations of this drink she'll be making. You'll get some tips on technique, and learn some tricks for a flawless execution. Throughout the live class, you'll get a chance to interact, ask questions, and discuss how to put your own unique twist on this classic. Ingredients: Blanco Tequila, Fresh Lime Juice, Orange Liqueur, Agave Syrup or Simple Syrup Garnish: Lime Wedge, Salt Ice Tools: Cocktail Shaker, Strainer, Jigger (measuring device), Hand Juicer Glassware: Rocks Glass
The Blended: Limeade Beer Margarita

Ingredients: Blanco Tequila, 1 Can Frozen Limeade, 1 Bottle Beer – Light Lager or Pilsner Garnish: Lime Wheel, Salt Ice Tools: Blender Glassware: Margarita Glass
The Craft Cocktail: Ginger Mint Margarita
Beverage
Ingredients: Blanco Tequila, Fresh Lime Juice, Orange Liqueur, Ginger Syrup*, Mint Garnish: Mint Sprig Ice Tools: Cocktail Shaker, Strainer, Hand Juicer, Jigger (measuring device), Muddler Glassware: Coupe *Ginger Syrup 1 cup of turbinado sugar 1 cup of water 1/2 cup sliced fresh ginger Combine the sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add the ginger, turn off the heat, and let sit for at least an hour. Strain through a mesh sieve and store in the refrigerator. Keeps for about a month.
