Apres Ski Fondue For One

There is no shame in enjoying an entire cheese fondue yourself. In fact, here's how you do it right.


  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup Gruyere cheese
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch dry mustard
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Bread, cubed
  • Cauliflower, chopped
  • Steamed asparagus
  • Granny Smith apple, sliced


  1. Cut garlic in half and rub the inside of a small oven-proof container. Place in oven at 250 degrees to keep warm.
  2. Combine Swiss and Gruyere in a medium bowl, add cornstarch and mix.
